ESS technology latest ES9038Q2M DAC, with the new 32-bit HyperStream II architecture, improving sound quality and DoP function.

2nd gerneration of XMOS USB audio solution xCore200, PCM sampling rate supported up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512.

There is 9 types of Sound color setting, not the digital filters, this feature using the DSP of ES9038Q2M to adjust the level of 2nd and 3rd distortion, make it sounds different.

There is 7 types of digital filter settings, set this will also change the sound color!

Ultra-low jitter asynchronous design and using ultra-low phase noise crystal as audio clock. Every input port supported DSD streaming, coaxial and optical supported to DSD64 by DoP technology via 24bit/176.4kHz SPDIF frame.

Audiophile powering design by couples of ultra-low noise LDO for the best performance. High precision CNC aluminum housing.

Intelligent power protection system include over voltage and over current.

Humanized operation, sound style and digital filter can be set by user.

Remote control:

1.Install 2 x AAA batteries as instruction.

2.When using the remote control, point it toward the remote con-trol signal receiver on the main unit from a distance of 5 m (16 ft) or less.Do not place obstructions between the main unit and the remote control.

3.The remote control might not work if the remote control signal receiver on the unit is exposed to direct sunlight or bright light. If this occurs, try moving the unit.Beware that use of this remote control could cause the unin-tentional operation of other devices that can be controlled by infra

  • The newly designed discrete output stage circuit has ultra low distortion, as low as 0.001%, and the output current is larger than before.
  • A fully balanced circuit design from inputs to outputs.
  • Use electronic volume control to ensure the volume level are the same for left and right channel.
  • Use lots of audio grade component and HIFI coupling capacitors.
  • Popless mute circuit and protection circuit, for the health of headphones.
  • Built-in tone control function and SDB EQ mode, easily adapt your headphones.
  • Powered by a linear power supply, the all-aluminum CNC milling chassis to reduce magnetic noise.
  • The OLED display and user-friendly operating system are easy to understand and  can be operated by remote controller of SU-8.

  • Q: How does the 30 day return period work? I would be buying this to take a feed from a Sony DAP (NW-ZX300). I would be using an OTG cable (Sony WMC-NWH10 USB Conversion Cable for Hi Res Audio Output). I have passed on another DAC because it won't recognize/speak to the Sony DAP. If this happened with your product could I pack it up and send it back to you (at my cost) and get a full refund? Thank you.
  • A: Hi Shane D, SU-8 can works with the Sony DAP (NW-ZX300), but the OTG cable used can't be too long. Thank you!
